ABOUT THE CLIENT

Nordoff & Robbins is a music therapy charity, and each year they host the O2 Silver Clef Awards, a flagship fundraising event celebrating some of the biggest names in music.

In 2024, I worked with their team to design the official event programme, bringing together award winners, partner content and storytelling about the charity into one cohesive printed piece.

THE CHALLENGE

This wasn’t just a brochure, it was something people would pick up during a high-profile, fast-paced event.

With input coming from multiple stakeholders, including artists, agents, sponsors and internal teams, the content was constantly evolving. That meant tight deadlines, last-minute changes and a need to stay flexible throughout.

The programme also needed to strike the right balance. It had to feel premium and in keeping with a star-studded event, while still clearly communicating the purpose behind it and the impact of Nordoff & Robbins’ work.

THE WORK

I designed a 136-page printed programme, working closely with the in-house marketing team to shape both the structure and overall look and feel.

This included:

  • designing and laying out editorial pages, award features and running order

  • incorporating partner and sponsor advertisements in a cohesive way

  • balancing Nordoff & Robbins and O2 branding throughout the document

  • managing ongoing edits and updates as content was finalised

The process was highly collaborative, with regular check-ins and quick turnaround feedback to keep everything moving. A big part of the role was staying organised and adaptable, making sure new information could be slotted in without disrupting the overall design.

And a definite highlight, knowing the final piece would be in the hands of artists like Chaka Khan and Annie Lennox, alongside industry leaders and supporters in the room.

THE IMPACT

The final programme was printed and distributed at the event, seen by hundreds of guests across the evening.

It gave attendees a clear and engaging guide to the event, helping everything run smoothly while also reinforcing the story behind the charity. The inclusion of partner content and advertisements also supported wider fundraising efforts on the night.

Most importantly, it played a small part in supporting a successful fundraising event, helping Nordoff & Robbins continue delivering music therapy to people who need it most.

Lauren worked on a brochure and leaflet for our biggest charity event and we were really impressed with the final outcome and design!
